Delhi Red Fort Bomb Blast: Death Toll Rises to 13, High Alert Issued Nationwide
Last night, a bomb
blast occurred near the Red Fort in Delhi. The death toll in the Delhi bomb
blast case has risen to 13. In response, strict security measures have been
implemented across various states and important locations in the country. A
high alert has been issued in the national capital, Delhi.
Suspecting a terrorist attack, the government has handed over the
investigation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). As new information
continues to emerge from different news agencies, several CCTV footages related
to the blast have also been released.
High Security Alert in Odisha:
In Odisha too, a high alert has been declared in several places
following the blast. The state government, in consultation with the police
department, has tightened security arrangements and taken multiple
precautionary steps. Security measures have been strengthened in Puri as well.
Enhanced security has been deployed at various railway stations and at
Bhubaneswar Airport. Strict security arrangements have also been made at
different tourist spots and monuments. The state government has directed
district administrations to intensify checking and monitoring.
Similarly, in coastal towns of Odisha, security has been
tightened. The marine police force has increased surveillance at sea and
intensified checking operations.
Union Home Minister Mr.
Amit Shah chaired another high-level security review meeting today. Meanwhile,
the Congress party has urged the government to conduct a thorough investigation
into the blast and take strict action against the culprits. The Chinese
Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, expressed deep sorrow on social media platform
X, extending condolences to the victims and their families.
