Joseph Kosinski, the director of highly talked-about films like Tron: Legacy, Oblivion, Top Gun: Maverick, Twisters, and F1, was born on May 3, 1974, in Marshalltown, USA. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University and later completed his Architecture studies at Columbia University. Before joining Hollywood, Joseph Kosinski worked as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University, where he helped students learn about 3D modeling and graphics.
In 1999, he moved to Los Angeles and signed with Anonymous Content, an independent global entertainment company. There, he also met the famous director David Fincher. After that, he remained busy with computer graphics and CGI work for quite some time. In 2010, his debut film as a director, Tron: Legacy, was released. The film was full of special effects and performed well at the box office. Since then, he has never looked back.
Although there is no confirmation yet about which film Joseph Kosinski will direct after F1, some reports suggest that his next project as a director will be 'Miami Vice'.
