BCCI gets new sponsor! Apollo Tyres bags Team India jersey deal worth ₹579.06 cr till 2028, outbidding Canva & JK Cement.

BCCI has got a new jersey sponsor today. The famous tyre company Apollo has now become the new jersey sponsor of Team India. For this, Apollo will provide BCCI with a hefty sum of ₹579.06 crore. This contract will remain valid until March 2028.

Due to the government’s new regulations, BCCI had to terminate its contract with the online gaming platform Dream11 midway. That’s why in the Asia Cup 2025, Team India played without a sponsor (on the jersey).

Devajit Saikia about the partnership:-

On September 2, BCCI invited bids for the main sponsorship. After receiving such a large amount of sponsorship, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said that this is the result of our cricket team’s hard work and consistent performance. This partnership is not just a commercial agreement, but a collaboration between two institutions that have earned the trust and respect of millions of people.

Details of the Bid:-

According to reports, Apollo Tyres will provide ₹4.5 crore for every bilateral match and ₹1.72 crore for ICC event matches to BCCI. Team India is scheduled to play 141 matches until March 2028. Along with Apollo Tyres, two other major companies JK Cement and Canva also participated in the bidding process. Canva placed a bid of around ₹554 crore, while JK Cement submitted a bid of around ₹477 crore.

After the new government regulations, BCCI prohibited any kind of gaming, betting, tobacco, and crypto companies from participating in the bidding process.

For your information, Dream11 was paying BCCI ₹4 crore per bilateral match earlier. Now, with Apollo Tyres, BCCI will receive ₹50 lakh more (₹4.5 crore) per match.

Thank You.
