1) As per different news sources, US based entrepreneur, Kal Somani, is leading a consortium that has acquired 100% ownership of the Rajasthan Royals for a staggering 1.63 Billion US dollar [Rs. 15,000 -15,300 crore].

6) BCCI Guidelines for IPL-2026
· > No practice or fitness tests allowed on match
days. Reason:- player recovery, reduce
fatigue, and protect pitches. Light warm-ups or strategy talks are fine, but no
intense sessions.
· > Teams get limited and fixed practice nets only
· > No sharing of practice wickets between teams
· > Only approved support staff allowed (limited
number)
· > Family/friends not allowed in dressing room or
field
· > On match day Players must travel with team (no
separate movement)
· > Accreditation mandatory for ground access
· > Dress code rules -Floppies and sleeveless
jerseys are not permitted during post- match presentations.
· > A first violation of the dress code will
result in a formal warning.
· > A second violation will incur a financial
penalty.
· > Restrictions on on-field behavior (LED boards,
substitute areas)
· > Practice matches allowed only with approval
and limited duration
7) In yesterday’s practice match of KKR, Cameron Green, Ajinkya
Rahane, and Kartik Tyagi delivered excellent performances. In the first
practice match, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Sarthak Ranjan, and Rinku Singh performed
well. Finn Allen had a decent performance in both practice matches.
